jenny has a bracelet. (proof) is it wood or stone? and if stone, what kind? somebody that is totally not cee thinks it might be dark jade, but i am skeptical, so i put it to you.

Hm, that's really hard to tell! I'm torn between thinking that the beads are made of wood and thinking they might be tiger's eye.

tiger's eye is usually a bit darker than that, where it's not orange. i was thinking maybe soapstone?

I would be very surprised if it were anything but polished wood. The color variations and sheen don't look quite right for tiger's eye, and I guess it could be a very dull, subtle agate or something, but it seems unlikely to me. It's exactly the kind of wooden bracelet you get a Buddhist temples, but they were taken mainstream several years ago, though I think those were mostly plastic or stone. But it's that style, and I tend to think of wood as one of the most the classic versions.

I just made my guy co worker look at this and give a MAN OPINION and he's with me on it being wood. The person above mentioned color variation and sheen and I'm down with that.

Also, I had a bracelet much like this and it reminds me of it.

It looks to me like a Buddhist mala, like a rosary for reciting infinite numbers of "om mani padme hum." I've got one that's made of sandalwood, and it smells amazing, but honestly, I think his looks like stone. Maybe polished agate? And i remember, when beaded bracelets were all the vogue, there *was* a stone - it might be jasper or it might be an agate - that was a mottled dark green and dark reddish-brown, and that's the first thing i thought when i saw that.

I think wood, and I THINK, think, mind you because I'm old and can not remember now, it might be the piece of beaded jewelry he talked about once that was multi-colored that he and some of his other buddies from back home wear in order to honor the memory of a friend of theirs that was killed.

Again, I THINK, I can not be sure. He said all that about the friend in an interview once, I know that for sure, but I can't remember if he said necklace or bracelet or if he specified at all, but that interview was old and guys are notorious for not being able to keep track of stuff, so it could be different, but then again for something that important he might have a box or something.
