the race is not for the swift

while waiting for SOA to download, I am going to do a meme.

( 99 things about me that never once crossed your mind before now )

the first lines of fifteen totally random songs i like, ganked from gyzym. (i knew two of her songs but others had already guessed 'em.) a few of these are quite hard, a few of them are quite easy.

( lyrics! )

regyt asks why the world doesn't have a meme where everyone leaves screened comments with what they want to say to to the poster but haven't yet for whatever reason -- and I say, indeed, why not? So! Tell me anything you want me to know - about me, about you, about your dog, whatever you like.

Anonymous comments are enabled, and everything is screened. Tell me something you want to tell me, anonymously or not. If you say you want me to unscreen, I will, happily.

Then do the same, and I will tell you something!

say what you want, man, it's okay.

so, a few things you have to know? 1. jamesinboots is a robot, 2. she is saying this with absolute sincerity:

jim: robot stuck. i can't remember to turn how to turn a byte array into bits so i can XOR it
jim: it's always the simple things that get me
jim: ooh, wait, i don't need to convert the byte arrays down into bits, i just need to examine each byte in each byte array side-by-side and XOR each byte!
jim: EUREKA.

20 nerd points to anybody who has the faintest idea what she's talking about. i certainly don't. but i love her. wheeee hee hee hee.

now, have a meme i stole from traveller. You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here's the game! Hit shuffle on your iPod/iTunes or mp3 player and write down the first 25 songs. No cheating or skipping songs that are shameful.

( these are actually much more representative of my usual listening habits than the list i gave to traveller. )

Post a picture in my comments that you think describes me when you think about what/who I am. No matter how surreal or plain. Give no written explanation. Just an image.

in other news, are any of you watching flash forward? god, john cho is smokin that show is awesome.

my username: winterlive, from winter, because i live in canada and it was january when i made this journal, and live of livejournal fame. i have considered many times changing it, but... haven't. primarily out of laziness and artistic prissiness.

my profile name: danny, because that's what the internet calls me. it was not my doing, but i like it.

my journal title: the race is not for the swift
my journal subtitle: but for who can endure it, the combined pair of which is a lyric from the black eyed peas' hey mama. it is a grand song with a beat i would eat over ice cream, but more than that, it reminds me that when shit seems so desperately unfair that you just wanna clocktower it, the winner isn't necessarily the bitch who just passed you.

my friends page: proper villains, from the modern remake of ocean's eleven. it's basher's line: it'll be nice working with proper villains again. that's you lot: the sort i'd want at my back if i were doing something highly illegal. :)

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them in your journal.

these are omg rough. posting this thing is a serious exercise in humility. *pink*
