most of my mind is just clinging to that last scene. like. there's a whole show worth of stuff, just in that one scene. and it happened in two minutes.

They're fond of shoving a whole lot of story into an hour. And it's well done, but it's one of those shows that needs to be thought over. Because there is so much going on.

This show is just...so rich in all these things that are said and unsaid.

I still need to find a screen cap of Hannibal from the ep a few weeks ago when Will talks to Hannibal about Abigail killing Nick. Hannibal puts his pencil down and his hand hovers over the scalpel he uses to sharpen his art pencils and then he doesn't pick the scalpel up! I was like omg omg, he decided in that moment not to kill Will but to instead try and manipulate him. That quick scene just had me amazed.

As for last night, wow, Abigail knows Hannibal and I think he killed her. But his talk before hand of calling her dad to see what would happen. How cold and logical he sounds but we know he's not.

And yes, Will looks good in orange.

I cannot wait for next week.

yeah i think will is going to arrive to find her dead and then jack will show up and arrest him for the murder. fucking hannibal. i wonder if hannibal will kill her like will did in his vision, by impaling her with the antlers.

i loved the scene with hannibal's psychiatrist. for some reason i loved the moment where she stands up and he almost immediately comes over to sit in her chair lol. something about the power balance in their relationship, idk.

hannibal has been getting steadily more emotional as the show has worn on. last ep he showed genuine feelings; it was WEIRD and i don't know if i liked it. :D

i just started watching about a week ago and i started at episode 6 so now i have to go back and watch 1-5 online. this show is insane. i love how beautifully it's shot - every frame could be a picture and the coloring is gorgeous.

also i really want to give will a hug lol.

you will be SO shocked at the difference between will now and will in the pilot. it's crazy.

this show is so PRETTY, and that's part of the PROBLEM. so many emotions!

Hannibal is a so intense and they shove so much plot AND character moments into each episode that I end up watching each one like 5 times. I LOVE the completely new take on Will, but am unsure how I feel about the slow emotionality growth(?) of Hannibal. But that is just because I am already invested in Hannibal being a particular way; if this were an original series instead of building on the books and movies I already obsessed over, I would be all about it.

you don't KNOW how much i loved those movies. clarice starling was my frickin idol when i was younger. and i love this show so much i can't even handle it. hannibal's sadistic alien mischief is just spot-on perfect, so far as i'm concerned, and so much is explained by the story occurring during the time that he has to pretend to be human. the trajectory from this guy to anthony hopkins in a cage is just. mads doesn't change hopkins' performance, he doesn't depart from it; he INFORMS it. he fills in the blanks.

i just don't even know how to. what. augh.
