reports say loyal television viewers are getting really effing cheesed when their favorite serialized drama gets axed. network heads are stunned over this unexpected development.

stay with us for news at 11 when we bring you the latest on how the sky darkens when it gets late.

Seriously! Those crazy people!

Although I totally would disagree with them categorizing Supernatural as a serial drama, it's very much episodic with arcs.

But god, I hope they LEARN - and all I ask is if you cancel something early, let the writers WRAP UP THE STORY, DAMN IT.

SWMBO are you going to watch heroes? HIRO! oh i am so excited for it.

unless it gets horribly cancelled. of course. *shakes wee fist of threateningness!!*

have good writers and let them do what they are paid to do. MAKE QUALITY TELEVISION, YOU JERKS.

*beams at you*

hey, this is [livejournal.com profile] swmbo! I have seen it :) I've seen almost all of 'em this year, it's been very, very productive *grin* But the pilot was VERY pilot-y (having to introduce so many different characters) and so I am looking forward to seeing how they handle regular characters and how individual episodes have arc versus plot and character development and everything :) But I am definitely watching.

it was CONCIEVABLE that you had not seen, even swmbo that you are. hee.

they would have to seriously deviate from the pilot for me to lose interest, i tell you what. first, the love of my wee life, HIRO! for whom i make clappy hands. and then, the love of my other parts, suresh. who. who. rarrrrrrr. *paw*

Wow, I'm shocked, too. I can't understand why people don't love it when they don't get to hear the end of a story! What's more satisfying than being totally left hanging???

Wacky, wacky world.

I love love love that the president of FOX, for pete's sake, is all like, "Hey, viewers don't like it when their shows get axed, and we're just discovering it." All your years of experience have led you to this conclusion?

Date: 2006-08-04 06:24 pm (UTC)

I KNOW! FOX!!

you cancelled a series that was so beloved by fans they made it into a MOVIE, which is TEE VEE HISTORY, and you dunno.

ho. my. god.

Great post, I enjoyed reading the article of obviousness. :P Jibe at them, not you. I really do think networks need to get with the program. If they cancel spn I'll be boycotting.

From: [identity profile] winterlive.livejournal.com
hee.

they will not cancel our show, do not say such things. ratings don't lie, and spn is bringin 'em in. *knocks wood, crosses fingers*

Utterly shocking is what it is.

(for what it's worth, Reunion was cancelled because it SUCKED, but I'd still like to have seen how it ended, rather than get a press release three months later with a nonsensical conclusion)

dear tee vee networks,

1. hire better writers.
2. let them do their jobs.

if you do not wish to do 1. and 2 above, then

3. kiss my ass.

Clearly this is why Seventh Heaven got un-canceled. Because they want to avoid this happening in future. ugh.

Random question for you regarding the Lawrence Awards...

Are you going to be leaving the links to the nominated stories up permanently?

I'd like to bookmark it, but if you'll be taking them down, I won't bother.

Thanks.

Date: 2006-08-06 07:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] winterlive.livejournal.com
they'll be up permanently, yes.

they may not always be at that particular link, though. next year there'll be a new awards run, and they'll be shifted to a past awards section. but they'll always be accessible.
