I was mulling over LillianMorgan's post about canon and pre-and-post series fic. I like all that stuff...the fics that usually leave me lukewarm are the human AU's. I don't mind AU that takes a left turn somewhere mid-series, but the all-human ones--well, without the superpowers/vampness/etc. they just aren't the same characters that I love.

But of course any sweeping statement like that has a big honking exception, and for the human AU's that would be you. I LOVE your stuff--somehow the characters ARE who they ought to be, even without the same major shaping events/powers.

It just occurred to me that I read most of that stuff of yours before I got an LJ and started commenting. (I was confused and didn't realize that I COULD comment without an LJ. Duh.) Anyway, I'm sure you know it's terrific anyway but here's another vote.

(Ewan McGregor made a very hot you in the movie and, hey, score with Christian Bale!) Just re-watched that this weekend, and I think one of the greatest gifts to slashers everywhere is Ewan McGregor kisses Jonathan Rhys-Meyers while Christian Bale self-pleasures over the pic. *g*

Also? Right there with you on "Wanna Be Your Dog." I have had no icon or comment probs (I think) but it's slower than molasses and keeps doing that "can't find server" thingie when I refresh. :(
