CuteDean was sweet and funny and gentle, but sullen and difficult when Rory was jerking him around (that is to say, all the time). When she finally dumped him for stupid Jess and his stupid hair (Peter Petrelli on Heroes), he ended up marrying (far too young) a girl he wasn't in love with, out of denial, and then when Rory was in university they slept together - after weeks of them being sweet and adorable but shy - before he ever told his wife he was done.
