[livejournal.com profile] cereta has a most excellent post on john winchester and his parenting skills. and on that subject, i will just say that the issues between these boys and their father is why i love this show the way i do. so much kudos go to kripke and the writers for making the relationships there so REAL, because the contrast between the familiarity, the normalcy of the family dynamics and the weirdness of the world they live in, that's what makes the show great.

and that's all i'ma say about that. okay, i should never say that sentence again.

i still can't wait for max's icons, wo.

in other news! i have a new episode each of veronica mars, bones and smallville waiting for me at home, and i'm very excited. today is flying by merrily, which is excellent because i wish to be at home right now, i do. veronica mars has me VERY EXCITED, in particular, because hello, the mystery is heating up, woo!

it's faintly rainy and very grey outside today, and i love this weather. it's so moody and grim, it is perfect for writing or snuggling inside or a dozen other things. plus also rain = good. i even saw little green things poking their wee heds up out of my garden today, so hurrah.

i leave you with this song: northwest passage, by stan rogers. in my head, this is the national anthem of canada. all you people who like due south, you may have heard this song before, but if you haven't, realize that fraser tears up when he hears it, and gets all the references in it. he does.
