I love that you fall into the "more" category. WOO! :D

Random: I find your mood theme image kind of mesmerizing. *stare*

Is that what it is? I keep trying to place where that image is from and it's just not coming to me. *crinkly forehead*

um, I think it might be from Skin, where Dean's bitching about the early morning and Sam's looking for Clues. Maybe?

Using which measure of central tendency, and inclusive or exclusive of WIPs and/or drawerfic?

(The average length of my drawerfic = more. But the sample size is too small for that to be significant.)

(I mean, I suspect the median is 5-10k, the mean is either 10-20k or more, and the mode is 1000, due to early participation in many 1000 word ficathons. Or it's 100, if I count drabbles. I'd have to check.)

(Note: avoidance via statistics was one of the reasons I started porting everything to Wordpress. Of course, then I got bored and fell into Supernatural, so I stopped.)

Drawerfic = crackaddled things written and then kept in a drawer, never to be shown in public. Or, if you're me, drawerfic = where all those bad ideas that won't shut up get shunted.

When I was working on the last long Buffyverse thing I finished (okay, for certain values of finished that equal not revised or posted), I kept another document in play called, umm. (checks) BADMINNOBISCUIT.rtf. A truly epic Birthdayverse story with some absurd pairings, an overload of angst, hatesex, and hurt/comfort, Sexy Principal Robin Wood, and Gunn and Wes winding up soccer moms with a minivan. It was basically my cliche outlet. Writing the main story was like pulling teeth. Writing the drawerfic was pretty much the opposite. I think for every 200 words I put into Sunrise, I put 2,000 in the drawerfic.

oh THAT stuff. *shoves closet door closed, ignores paper spillage*

I answered 1000-5000 because that's the average length of what I've finished in the past year. But the average length of all the unfinished stories I have stored away is probably more like 10K-20K. I'm a flake and can never finish the longer stuff. D:

the stuff that you post is the stuff i'm looking for, so that'll be spit-spot. :D
