I'm not a fan of these shots.. Wait. I'm really not a fan of fashion photography. It all just LOOKS fake. It's like they're literally MANequins. No engagement at all, just distance and withdrawal. blech.

give me the suff when he's walkin' a carpet at a function, or when he's on set, but not on camera. That's what I like, seeing him - and any of my favorite actors really - engaged in what they're doing.

he's still modeling, and surely he doesn't have to do that anymore unless he enjoys it. does he do it for the money? no need. so it must be either modeling itself, or for the clothes.

In that first picture, Jensen and Josh Henderson look like brothers -- look at their eyes. I've got a whole scenario plotted out in my head, Gossip-Girl-like, where Jensen's the big bro who comes back to town for the weekend and gets hit on by his little bro's girlfriend. But in the end, it's bros over hos and drinks for all.

Ok, I just had to check this Josh dude (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1259068/bio) 'cause he seemed familiar (he did play that jerk in "Step Up", my brain WORKS! \o/ But that's beside the point)-- he was born in Dallas, Texas; acts, sings, models; is two inches shorter than our boy (*grin*) and he dated Ashlee Simpson for a long time.

A lot of people don't like these kinds of shots because they seem artificial, but I like these pics as a study in interesting photography, and a glimpse of how professional Jensen is.

What they're seeing is the differences in body language between the professional model!Jensen, compared to working actor!Jensen and real!private!self!Jensen. He's not going to show the shy, geeky, prankster in these kind of pics; he's not going to be as formulaic in his acting shots, unless the script for it; and he's not likely going to deliver one perfect glistening tear in his real life pics.

The last pic there makes me want to take that tie and do naughty bondage things to him. Possibly with a tree involved, yes. And spanking. Maybe some licking. *points to comments* Those ladies had some good ideas!
