the race is not for the swift

I think were definitely seeing this season through Sam's pov and Dean's not looking as good as the previous seasons. We're seeing a brash, sometimes abusive, but ultimately lovable person. I think it's great. And man, how much do I love that they went there. That they made it explicit by having the cross road's demon lay it out. Maybe Sam can't take Dean's neediness sometimes. Maybe he really is just going through the motions, doing what he thinks he has to do. It's dark and conflicted and so grownup. I think Sam can have those feelings and not be a despicable human being. Humans are capable of feeling many things at once. Love and disgust. And I can totally see now how Sam can become the Boy King, before this season not so much. There was too much I'M GOING TO GO DARK SIDE OMG, last season from Sam, a lot of talking but not a lot of doing. Now we're being shown. The writing team is definitely getting better. Jared is definitely growing as an actor. And he never fails to make me laugh. That drawing cracked me up.
