some little things all you fic writers should know, in my mostest very humble opinion.

1. use headers. you are ten times more likely to be read and rec'd if you use clear, concise headers. it can be as simple as one more time, by me. adult, sam/dean. and already, you have told me exactly what i want to know about your fic. incest warning, rating, title, genre, it's all in there, and you're good to go.

2. use the default setting on your reading page. i am ten times more likely to read a fic that appears as plain black text on a white background, resizable at will.

3. organize. eljay has provided us with both tags and memories to organize our fannish contributions. use them, because if i want to rec something i read or saw that you did, and then i can't find it because it's not tagged or memoriesed somehow, i'll give up fast. i got stuff to do, yo.

ETA:
4. lj cuts are your friends. if you wanna know how to do one, it's here. this isn't really a problem on my own flist, but apparently there's still folks out there that haven't quite managed to pick up this v. important bit of netiquette.

i'm sorry if that sounded harsh, but it's for your own good.

in other, brighter news, max is perfect and SPN is tonight. \o/
