Guess what movie I saw last night? One that reads like a hottie list of distinguished!kink and plus also Christian Bale! And Cillian Murphy!
OMG movie squee. Serious. Some of the lines were KILLER. And I knew Rutger Hauer was evil, because, hello! Lothos! (I kept saying Lothar yesterday, but I was wrong.) Only bad part were the fight scenes - I've so been spoiled by Angel. They were jerky and uncoordinated and bad. But the Bat-tank was rockin cool, and Commissioner-but-since-this-is-an-origin-story-he's-only-a-sergeant Gordon! You just know that's why he was such a big Batman supporter when he got to be Commissioner - he just kept thinking, dude, one day I might get to drive the fucking Batmobile again. That was awesome.
In conclusion, movie awesome. SEE IT. Squee about it in my comments and I will squee with you!
In other news, someone was shot at a Mac's store I used to go to all the time! This is not right! My town is supposed to be quiet and docile and eclectically arty. We are not supposed to have crime, or not serious crime! It is bad! Fourteenth homicide this year. Wrong!
I found out that the girl who sits next to me is fen for DC fandom. Did y'all know Superman and Lex Luthor have a child together via petri dish? IN CANON? It is true! I love this - it's like discovering girl-next-to-me is my long lost cousin. I christen her swmbostyle: co-worker M. Though she had heard the term 'squee', she had never heard one out loud before. She has now. *g*

Okay. Batman, really - GREAT. So much fun. I don't know from DC canon, but I was totally entertained. I missed seeing the Serenity trailer and the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory trailer, tho, because we were late! *pout*
